This kit lets the passing lights work as driving lights, giving you more than double the main beam power, without losing the existing passing light function ! 

the kit fits Road Kings with the standard passing light switch. It replaces the standard two position switch with a three position switch. Everthing works the same except that the new switch position puts the passing lights on on High beam.

This has got to be the most useful kit we have produced to date.. I had the first one and the only reason I can think of that Harley didn't make them this way in the first place is the difficulty of finding the switches. Our first customer said "If you buy anything for your 'King this year, this should be it."

What it does !

The standard switch

1. Up   - On when on LOW beam
2. Down   - OFF

With the kit fitted

1. Up    - On when on LOW beam (no change)
2. Centre   - OFF (no change)
3. Down   - On when on HIGH beam (is that cool or what !)

With the kit fitted (alternative method 1)

1. Up    - On when on LOW beam (no change)
2. Centre   - OFF (no change)
3. Down   - On ALL the time (by popular request !)

With the kit fitted (alternative method 2)

1. Up    - On ALL the time 
2. Centre   - OFF (no change)
3. Down   - On when on HIGH beam

What's in the kit ? 

The kit includes full instructions and the parts ready assembled as above, including the new switch (and did we have trouble sourcing these little beauties, they are a non-standard item, being a large thread on a small body with Gold on Silver contacts ... very expensive and the main reason for the price, they are from the same manufacturer as the OEM switch) four pole connector, interconnecting cables, cable and connector to link to main harness. All it takes to fit is a few minutes and a pair of pliers.

In Use.

With the switch in the up position the lights will work in exactly the same way as they do now...

With the switch in the down position whenever you use the handlebar High beam switch, the passing lights will come on with the high beam.

Use this feature in the daytime to signal to other drivers. a flick of the high beam switch and all three lights flash

You now have more than double the lighting at night when on high beam, and when you dip your lights for oncoming drivers, the passing lights go off.
