Marker Light Kit in RED WHITE AMBER or BLUE

ADDS RUNNING LIGHTS WITHOUT AFFECTING DIRECTION INDICATORS !

These kits only fit Harleys with the Large (3" dia.) Bullet Style Direction Indicators

They fit inside the existing lights, each kit includes a pair of LED lamp units, each of which fits inside the standard Bullet Style Harley indicator housing. Each Red or Amber lamp unit has 10 mega bright LED's, and 4 resistors with 78" of cable. The Blue and White units have 8 mega bright LED's, and 4 resistors The kit includes 4 cable connectors, 5 cable ties and full instructions.

(note this kit will not fit the older style flat indicators but will only fit the 3" bullet indicators with the standard or flat lenses - if in doubt email us before purchase)

The Lights are so bright, we have re-designed the circuit board to allow you to choose full brightness or half brightness just in case the lights are too bright for your taste !

What it does

When the kit is installed the LED arrays are illuminated whenever your lights are on (running light), or you can wire them to a switch to only have them on when you want ! In addition, the unit can optionally be wired so that the LED's go out when the direction indicator bulb lights, or wired to act as additional brake lights at the rear.

The Direction Indicator Function is NOT affected.

At the rear, Red units are normally fitted and because the LEDs are Red, they shine red through Amber, Smoked, Clear or Red indicator lenses.

At the front, There is a choice of White or Amber which complicates matters slightly. Both white and Amber will shine Amber through an Amber Lens, To acheive a white light, clear or smoked lenses will be needed. In Europe, White is the preferred colour.

For Show or Police use, we do blue units for front and rear, these too need clear or smoked lenses! be aware that fitting blue lights to a civilian bike will almost certainly mean being pulled over.... trust me... I know !

(note, all the LED's appear to be transparent, although this is good because this makes them virtually invisible behind the lens, the different color units will appear identical until installed so be careful to note which is which when installing)

Why

Have you ever been on a road in poor visibility and wondered whether the cars behind can see you ?
Have you ever wondered whether the taillight bulb has gone ?
Have you ever looked at the car in front and cussed him for having no rear lights ?

The point is, not only will you have more light at the front and back but also a backup for when the filament goes in your taillight.

Other Details.

The units coated with a conformal coating which makes them corrosion resistant, and of course LEDs are already amazingly vibration resistant
Current drawn is less than 1/5 of an amp with all the LED's brightly lit.
Expected Lifetime 100,000 hours!
In each unit the LED's are in two banks, with separate resistors, this means that in the extremely unlikely event that a single LED fails others will still light up.
No drilling or screws are required, the units are a rubber mounted push fit!

First attempt photos don't do the kits justice, These lights are really cool, believe me they are awesome at night ! The three pictures above are of customer's rides, hopefully other buyers will mail me pictures of their rides with the units fitted...

I designed and built the first set of lights for a custom bike but was so impressed, I'm adding them to our listings...

Out of the several kits I've designed these are probably going to be the most successful, they are so good, I'm thinking of changing the lights on my Road King from the flat style to the Bullet style just so that I can add the kits!

Legal

Like many other aftermarket items, the kit has not been officially approved for highway use, however, HD manufacture kits that use the rear indicators but they only work with red lenses, eg HD part No 91699-99A. This means your indicators become red.... No use on the front or for Amber direction indicators... This kit allows bikes with amber smoked, or clear lenses to have built in running lights but maintaining that legal amber indicator colour!

The lamp units are ordered in pairs so if you want front and rear, order two items and please please tell us which color you need !
